EN Very well known on the Internet, Yury Sirri Nakvas was born in Belarus and moved to Bologna, where he attended the Accademia Nazionale del Cinema from 2012 to 2014. During his studies, Nakvas explored a particular photographic technique: the hyper-lapse, in which the position of the camera is slightly changed between each exposure in order to create a trac-ing shot in time-lapse sequences. Despite his young age, the artist has already gained a reputation, and his first project Riccione Timelapse was awarded the second prize at the Riccione Stream Award Video Contest. From that moment, Nakvas has been sharpening his expertise and, inspired by the great masters in hyper- lapse photography, his works received many acknowledgments and enthusiastic feedbacks from the experts in the field. His work on Milan, the video Milano City Hyperlapse & Time Lapse, was also published on the website of the Italian newspaper La Repubblica. To realise this video, Nakvas immortalised Milan must-see places through a sequence of 19.000 shots, showing the image of a lively and ever-changing city. The result is a mosaic that demonstrates how Milan, the most European city of Italy, is an international and outward-looking reality. Nakvas’s video gained recognition from several news websites - such as Milanotoday e Epochtimes - and became a viral phenomenon on the web.
