EN Very well known on the Internet, Yury Sirri Nakvas was born in Belarus and moved to Bologna, where he attended the Accademia Nazionale del Cinema from 2012 to 2014. During his studies, Nakvas explored a particular photographic technique: the hyper-lapse, in which the position of the camera is slightly changed between each exposure in order to create a trac-ing shot in time-lapse sequences. Despite his young age, the artist has already gained a reputation, and his first project Riccione Timelapse was awarded the second prize at the Riccione Stream Award Video Contest. From that moment, Nakvas has been sharpening his expertise and, inspired by the great masters in hyper- lapse photography, his works received many acknowledgments and enthusiastic feedbacks from the experts in the field. His work on Milan, the video Milano City Hyperlapse & Time Lapse, was also published on the website of the Italian newspaper La Repubblica. To realise this video, Nakvas immortalised Milan must-see places through a sequence of 19.000 shots, showing the image of a lively and ever-changing city. The result is a mosaic that demonstrates how Milan, the most European city of Italy, is an international and outward-looking reality. Nakvas’s video gained recognition from several news websites - such as Milanotoday e Epochtimes - and became a viral phenomenon on the web. IT Ormai conosciutissimo sul web, Yury Sirri Nakvas nasce in Bielorussia per poi trasferirsi a Bologna, dove frequenta l’Accademia Nazionale del Cinema tra il 2012 e il 2014. E proprio all’Accademia Nakvas si specializza in una particolare forma del linguaggio fotografico: l’Hyperlapse, ovvero la tecnica di esposizione in cui la macchina fotografica viene spostata in ogni scatto di pochi millimetri per creare una ripresa in sequenze in movimento. Nonostante la sua giovanissima età, l’artista è già molto apprezzato nel mondo della fotografia, dove fa il suo ingresso con il progetto Riccione Timelapse, con cui si aggiudica il secondo posto al Riccione Stream Award Video Contest. Da questo momento in poi Nakvas studia ogni segreto della tecnica fotografica, e ispirandosi ai maestri internazionali dell’Hyperlapse ottiene riscontri e riconoscimenti entusiastici dagli intenditori. Appare per la prima volta su una testata nazionale con l’omaggio conferitogli da Repubblica in occasione del suo lavoro su Milano: Milano City Hyperlapse & Time Lapse. Nel video, Yury Nakvas riprende i luoghi-focus della città usando 19.000 scatti in successione, con lo scopo di mostrare una città vivace e in continua trasformazione. Il risultato è un mosaico che dimostra come la più europea delle città italiane sia sempre più proiettata a un’apertura internazionale. Alla pubblicazione del video seguono riconoscimenti sul web da parte di pagine milanesi e non - tra queste Milanotoday e Epochtimes - oltre alla soddisfazione di vedere la sua opera diventare un vero fenomeno virale sul web.
