EN Aaron Slevin approached photography as a self-learner and later attended the Academy of Arts (Poland). In 2013, his photography series Secret Garden was awarded the first prize at the Hair Photography Contest Tosor. In the same year, he participated in the photo contest WUP (Poland), and since 2014 he has been pursuing his artistic career in both Poland and Italy. In Italy, his work has been exhibited for the first time at Martini, in Milan, on occasion of the launch of the Vogue Fashion Night Out, and then featured in An Iconic View of White, staged at Porsche Design Boutique. In Italy, he also participated in Hair Extravagance, a show staged at Palazzo Re Enzo (Bologna) and organised by Vogue, and in Around Lemon, in Rome. In addition to featuring in these major art exhibitions, Slevin Aaron’s shots have been also used to illustrate the cover of books published by major companies such as Random House, HarperCollins and Macmillan Publishers, as well as theatre posters and album covers. In the last two years, some of his shots have been selected by Alessia Glaviano, senior photo editor at Vogue Italia, for some shows. In 2015, Slevin Aaron has exhibited in three different Polish cities, and also participated in 45 Frames From PhotoVogue, staged at the Leica Gallery, Milan. IT Aaron Slevin si appassiona alla fotografia da autodidatta per poi formarsi all’Academy of Arts (Polonia) quando, già nel 2013, vince il primo premio all’Hair Photography contest Tosor con la serie fotografica Secret Garden. Lo stesso anno espone nella città natia al concorso fotografico WUP (Polonia) e dal 2014 la sua carriera artistica inizia un percorso che lo vede attivo tra la Polonia e l’Italia. La città di Milano, per prima, lo ospita nella mostra fotografica Martini, in occasione dell’evento di lancio della Vogue Fashion Night Out e alla Porsche Design boutique nella vetrina d’artisti An Iconic view of white. Ancora insieme all’illustre rivista di moda, sarà presente a Palazzo Re Enzo (Bologna) alla mostra Hair Extravagance e a Roma con la mostra Around Lemon. Oltre al successo espositivo, le sue opere appaiono anche su numerose copertine di volumi delle più grandi case editoriali del mondo, come la Random House, la HarperCollins e la Macmillan Publisher, altre diventano locandine teatrali e copertine di album musicali. Negli ultimi anni, alcune sue fotografie vengono scelte dal redattore capo di Vogue Italia per esposizioni e mostre ed altre vengono selezionate personalmente da Alessia Glaviano, Senior photo editor per Vogue Italia. Nel 2015, riconosciuto a livello nazionale, espone in tre differenti città polacche e infine torna a Milano per l’allestimento di 45Frames from PhotoVogue alla Leica Gallery.
