Artist Vincenzo Sestito, born in Crotone, Italy on 21.01.1966. As a child he became passionate about art, he experimented with brushes and pencils from an early age. His parents did not trust the young man, they believed it was only a frivolous and momentary passion, for this reason they did not give him the opportunity to enroll in artistic high school w for this reason they made him enroll in a technical high school with electronic address. In the 90s he worked for a large pharmaceutical company in Rome; but his desire to become an acclaimed artist did not subside in him. In 1995 his firstborn was born, who from birth and is still suffering from a spastic quadriparsi through neglect of the gynecologist. Art was the outlet for concentrating his sufferings and transforming them into artistic expressions. He made a trip that marked him, in Cesena, where he met a mosaic teacher. From here began his long artistic journey. The person who gave him strength and inspiration was Gaspare da Brescia. This friendship changed him a lot. Together with his friend they furnished a wellknown Milanese restaurant '400'. From here Vincenzo started looking for furniture for many clubs and villas, not only in Italy but also in China and the United Kingdom. After several years he concentrated on another artistic, innovative technique, the 'low relief with nails'. The protagonists of the works were mostly characters from Greek mythology, an important theme that recalls its own origins, as Crotone, his hometown, was one of the main, richest and strongest copies of Magnagrecia. His art and his works deviate from the usual, and stands out among these for the use of nails that allows you to play with light and shadow through the light-dark definitions thanks to the various colors and gradations of the nails. His latest 2017 \ 2019 collection is characterized by light and dark, and focuses on the designs of Valentina di Crepax, Satiri and Tani, the Lauconte di Troia, Mattanze di Tonni, Lupi, Civette and other characters who have left their mark in the artist.
