Painting, Dance and Actions. I was born in Cali in 1961 in Cali, Colombia. I have led a nomadic artist life that began in 1985, I have had more than 27 solo and group exhibitions, live performance actions, videos and installations in some parts of the world. Among the most significant I can mention the actions with the group “Sin Titulo” (1992–1994) at the Circulo de Bellas Artes in Madrid. interventions at the Reina Sofia Museum of Art, The Gardens of the Prado Museum, Madrid-Spain, - with “Danza en el Silencio” (1998); at Villa Vogel, Florence-Italy - "Nomada Tour", installation (2001); Maison de Mexique, la Sorbonne, Paris, France, Performance Danza Kogui (2003); Space Krajcberg Space, Museum of Montparnasse, Paris; project “Healing for the Earth” - (2005 and 2006). Although Carl Sagan reminds us: our memory also comes from the stars, Gaudí also mentions that it is in the encounter with the origin that the original arises. And it is in the route of this mechanics we are. Since the arduino I have created some programs, among them I have installed under the fabrics of my paintings, sensors will identify in the stars, the temperature of a place and in constellations changes of color in LEDs that they detect. I still use painting as a language of encounter with aboriginal thought and as a means to send messages of some aesthetic proposal that takes into account the individual and life itself, painting in this case is a documentary way, which I continue to use. The actions that I call "conta-mine-action" are made in two phases: in the first, I designed expectation announcements about the departure of an imagined movie, which I titled "future without oxygen". For the second phase, use the arduino and an "air quality" sensor, to install on a paper dress, as a device that would detect the different emissions of toxic gases and clean air. The green and blue leds would then react to stimuli from severely polluted air or butane gas, in that order, while the white leds would emit their light in case the air was clean or free of toxins. The experience is still in progress, the program achieved on the arduino remains open source for adjustments or, for that matter, changing the sensor to achieve more accurate information.
