Cristina Orlandi, a professional architect and a soulful artist, was born in Milan on 26 May 1959. She completed her Classical studies at high school and then in 1985, she obtained a master's degree with honors at the Faculty of Architecture of Milan Polytechnic. She was later licensed to practice as an architect. For several years she devoted herself to teaching, collaborating at the same time with her architect husband. Since 1992 she has associated her artistic vein with her professional activity, with project-based interventions aimed at the production of decorative furnishing panels and the coordination of interior finishes according to the whole building structure. From there she began her artistic journey of pictorial research through a unique and distinctive style. In October 1996 she exhibited her works at the Palazzo dei Congressi in Salsomaggiore Terme (PR). In July 1996 and 1997 she exhibited in the Sala Civica in Berceto (PR). In September 2017 she exhibited again at the Casa della Musica in Parma, in her solo exhibit " Games of Shapes, Shapes of Lived ". In November 2018, she presented her new works in the solo exhibition " The Metal Age", at the Strand Bookshop in Reggio Emilia, and obtained an important public acclaim. Consegue il diploma di Maturità Classica e nel 1985, presso la Facoltà di Architettura del Politecnico di Milano, ottiene con lode, la laurea e la successiva Abilitazione all’esercizio della professione. Si dedica per diversi anni all’insegnamento collaborando contemporaneamente con il marito architetto. A partire dal 1992 ha associato la sua vena artistica all’attività professionale, con interventi a tema finalizzati alla produzione di pannelli decorativi d’arredamento ed al coordinamento delle finiture d’interni con l’involucro edilizio. Inizia così il suo percorso artistico di ricerca pittorica in uno stile unico e riconoscibile. Nell’ottobre del 1996 espone le sue opere al palazzo dei Congressi di Salsomaggiore Terme (PR). Nei mesi di luglio 1996 e 1997 espone nella Sala Civica di Berceto (PR). A settembre 2017 ritorna ad esporre presso la Casa della Musica di Parma nella personale “Giochi di Forme Forme del Vissuto”. Nel mese di novembre 2018, presso la Libreria Strand di Reggio Emilia, presenta le sue nuove opere nella mostra personale “L’età dei Metalli”, ottenendo un importante successo di pubblico.
