EN After studying Art History at the University of Pisa, Eleonora Manca moved to Turin, where she earned her master’s in Theatre and Stagecraft. Alongside her academic training, she developed her own artistic research, initially with drawing and painting, and then specializing in new media, mainly video, performance and photography. In 2013 Giorgio Bonomi featured Manca at the collective exhibition Il corpo solitario. L’autoscatto nella fotografia contemporanea, which he curated in Turin. That year the artist participated in Paraphotò, the exhibition project that Davide Giglio and Daniele Ratti, in collaboration with the Centro Visual in Turin, curated for Paratissima IX. In 2015 her photographic production was exhibited in Italy, in Turin at Paratissima XI, and in Portugal, at Alcobaca, which hosted the exhibition Alberto Guerreiro curated for the Book and Movies International Prize. Also in 2015, Carlo Emanuele Bugatti and Giorgio Bonomi selected some of her photographs for an exhibition at the MUSINF in Senigallia, and these works have now entered the collection of the Italian Archive of Photographic Self- portraits. Alongside photography exhibitions, Manca has also been featured at film festivals and international video-art festivals. A visual artist, photographer, video artist and video performer, Manca was chosen as “artist of the month” by the Centro IGAV in Turin (March 2015) and was mentioned in the Gold section of Fotografi Italiani 2015, a web catalogue curated by Benedetta Spagnuolo. IT Dopo gli studi in Storia dell’Arte presso l’Università di Pisa Eleonora Manca si trasferisce a Torino e si specializza in Teatro e Arti della Scena. Parallelamente alla formazione accademica sviluppa la propria ricerca artistica dapprima con il disegno e la pittura e poi sperimentando nuovi media principalmente il video la performance e la fotografia. Nel 2013 Giorgio Bonomi inserisce Eleonora Manca tra i protagonisti della mostra collettiva Il corpo solitario. L’autoscatto nella fotografia contemporanea che cura a Torino. Lo stesso anno l’artista partecipa a Paraphotò il progetto espositivo che Davide Giglio e Daniele Ratti in collaborazione con Centro Visual di Torino curano per Paratissima IX. Nel 2015 la sua produzione fotografica è esposta in Italia a Torino in occasione di Paratissima XI e in Portogallo ad Alcobaca dove ha luogo la mostra che Alberto Guerreiro cura per Book and Movies International Prize. Lo stesso anno Carlo Emanuele Bugatti e Giorgio Bonomi selezionano alcune opere fotografiche dell’artista per una mostra presso il MUSINF di Senigallia che entrano a far parte della collezione dell’Archivio Italiano dell’Autoritratto Fotografico. Parallelamente alle esposizioni di fotografia Eleonora Manca è protagonista di Film Festival e Festival Internazionali di Video Arte. Artista visiva fotografa videoartista e video performer Eleonora dopo essere stata eletta artista del mese dal Centro IGAV di Torino (marzo 2015) è citata nella sezione Gold di Fotografi Italiani 2015 un catalogo web curato da Benedetta Spagnuolo.
