EN Paolo Hyena Lasagni was born in 1965 and started taking photographs in the late Seventies; he completed the Magnum Photos Masterclass under the guidance of Patrick Zackmann. In 2000 he embarked on a creative path blending his photographs with painting, restoration processes and analogous techniques. rough his rst collaborations with national galleries, between 2002 and 2006 he participated in a large number of exhibitions, all of which in the fertile territory of Emilia. In 2008 his research crossed international boundaries. He was featured in two collective exhibitions, one – Senza Titolo – staged at the Gallery Bar in New York, and the other at the State of the Arts in Hong Kong. at year marked the start of a relationship, destined to intensify, with the Orler Gallerie d’Arte, the historic Venetian art gallery that rst promoted the work of Emilio Vedova, and it devoted two solo exhibitions to him in 2008 and 2009. Hyena rst participated in Art Verona in 2010, also the year he took part in Art Fair Step 09 Art Fair in Milan. e following year he participated in the 21st Tuyap Istanbul Art Fair, a er which he showed his works at Fotogra a Europea – Verde bianco rosso. Also in 2011, the Hubert Gallery in New York, long active in promoting young artists alongside masters in art history of the calibre of Matisse, Picasso, Lichtenstein and Calder, devoted a solo show to him entitled Ad occhio nudo. He participated in the 2012 Salone internazionale del Mobile, at which Marco Morandini curated the collective exhibition e Wunderkammer Visionnaire. e following year he played a key role at the 2013 Bologna Arte Fiera (2013). A multifaceted artist, in the Eighties he began to conduct research in various elds alongside photography, including the music scene, fashion, entertainment and video art. He and Ferdinando Anceschi debuted with their rst work, Emiliana, which in 2003 won the 1st Don Camillo d’Oro Award at the 1st Videofestival di Brescello. Nel 2000 inaugura un percorso creativo contaminando le proprie fotogra e con la pittura, le tecniche di restauro e le tecniche analogiche. Attraverso le prime collaborazioni con gallerie nazionali, tra il 2002 e il 2006 colleziona un ampio numero di mostre, tutte nel fertile territorio emiliano. Nel 2008, la sua ricerca emigra verso con ni internazionali. È protagonista di due mostre collettive, allestite l’una presso la Gallery Bar di New York, Senza titolo, e l’altra presso la State of the Arts di Hong Kong. Nello stesso anno avvia i rapporti, destinati a intensi carsi, con Orler Gallerie d’Arte - storica galleria d’arte veneziana che ha dato luce a opere di Emilio Vedova - che gli dedica tre personali tra il 2008 e il 2009. Partecipa per la prima volta ad Art Verona nel 2010 e, sempre in quell’anno, ad Art Fair Step 09 Art Fair – Milano. L’anno successivo, nel 2011, dopo la partecipazione alla XXI^ edizione di Tuyap Istanbul Art Fair, espone i suoi lavori in occasione di Fotogra a Europea - Verde bianco rosso. Una fotogra a dell’Italia, a cura di Elio Grazioli, con la collaborazione, tra gli altri, di Alberto Melloni, Gigliola Foschi, Walter Guadagnini e Sandro Parmiggiani. Ancora nel 2011, la Hubert Gallery di New York, da sempre attiva nella promozione di giovani artisti accanto a maestri della storia dell’arte del calibro di Matisse, Picasso, Lichtensteine Calder, gli dedica una personale, Ad occhio nudo. È protagonista al Salone internazionale del Mobile nel 2012, evento per cui Marco Morandini cura l’esposizione collettiva e Wunderkammer Visionnaire. L’anno successivo è tra i protagonisti di Bologna Arte Fiera (2013). Artista poliedrico, accanto ala ricerca fotogra ca ha intrapreso, sin dagli anni ’80, una ricerca in diversi campi, tra cui la scena musicale, la moda, lo spettacolo e il video, debuttando insieme a Ferdinando Anceschi con l’opera prima Emiliana, premiata nel 2003 al primo Videofestival di Brescello con il Primo Premio Don Camillo d’Oro.
