EN Davide Biagi discovered photography while he was at high school, taking part in an experimental course and then his hobby became an object of study: he specia- lized following the lessons of the photojournalist Angelo Tondini and attending courses at Circolo Fotografico Milanese. Attracted to nature since childhood, the artist considers Trentino Alto Adige his second home, so in 2013 he decided to dedicate himself mainly to naturalistic photography. In this field he experimented personal methods and styles, remaining however true to the famous figures of lan- dscape photography, whose teachings Biagi learned in the numerous workshops he attended, such as those of Marco Colombo and Marcello Libra. With patience and dedication Biagi began to travel around Italy, especially in Trentino where he filmed landscapes, but he also experimented wildlife photography and the avifauna. The artist affirmed: “Landscape and fauna are my favourite genres, but I do not disdain the macro genre and the motion blur”. Once he had enhanced his style, in 2014 he set up near Trento his first photography exhibition called Visioni e rifles- sioni (Sights and reflections), where he exhibited the landscapes of that region. As a consequence, he obtained a lot of visibility and in 2015 he was awarded in Naples at the national contest Illustrare la nature (Illustrating nature) in the category of landscape photography; in 2016 he was a finalist at the international contest Oasis in the category Mammals, and in June the artist was recognized as a young talent on D, insert of Repubblica. Attratto dalla natura fin da piccolo, l’artista considera il Trentino la sua seconda casa, quindi nel 2013 decide di dedicarsi principalmente alla fotografia naturalistica. Nel campo sperimenta approcci e stili personali, re- stando comunque fedele ai grandi nomi della fotografia paesaggistica, i cui inse- gnamenti vengono appresi da Biagi nei numerosi workshop che segue, come quelli di Marco Colombo e Marcello Libra. Con pazienza e dedizione Biagi inizia a viag- giare in Italia, soprattutto nel suo Trentino: qui riprende paesaggi, ma sperimenta anche la fotografia faunistica e l’avifauna. “Paesaggio e fauna sono i miei generi prediletti, ma non disdegno il genere macro e il mosso creativo”, afferma l’artista. Una volta consolidato il proprio stile, nel 2014 allestisce in provincia di Trento la prima mostra fotografica intitolata Visioni e riflessioni, che vede esposti i paesaggi di quelle terre. Ottiene molta visibilità e nel 2015 viene premiato a Napoli per il concorso nazionale Illustrare la natura, nella categoria Foto di Paesaggio; il 2016 lo vede finalista nella categoria Mammiferi al concorso internazionale Oasis, e in giugno l’artista ottiene il riconoscimento di giovane talento su D di Repubblica.
