ariane patricia

1983

Patricia Ariane lives and works in São Paulo, Brazil. Her artistic practice can be described as the pictorial representation of her daily extrasensory perceptions combined with the use of flat color and influences of movements such as Figurativism, Abstract Expressionism and Pop Art. Each completed artwork is the result of a initial thought, developed through an unrecognized physical sense, intuition. Being each intuitive tought non-verbal, painting becomes the communication mediator for an experience of cyclical transfer between author and viewer. The artist's fanciful perspectives carry a sweeping impulse, where the artist hopes to convey a little of herself and embrace some of the other through the act of contemplation. Such act becomes a bridge for an amplified collective conscious space, where the artist’s intuitive creations expands by connecting the subconscious of the artist with the subconscious of the viewer, giving birth to what the artists call “the creative imagination” and making the content of the work a field of limitless possibilities Her works of art are present in private collections around the world, in countries like Denmark, Sweden, Switzerland, Canada and the United States. Private Collections: Brasil – São Paulo Canada - Ontario Denmark - Aarhus, Copenhagen Switzerland - Zollikerberg United States - Delaware, New York, Texas, Washington D.C. I HAVE THIS PERSPECTIVE WHERE ART CAN SPEAK THROUGH AND FOR SO MANY LANGUAGES AND I FEEL THAT I NEED TO REGISTER THIS MOMENT THAT IS PERMEATED WITH A MERGE OF DIGITALIZATION, SOCIAL STRUCTURES, AND PERSONAL GROWTH. I AM TRYING TO APPROACH NEW FORMS OF EXPRESSION THROUGH THE USE OF SURFACES THAT ARE NOT MY USUAL CANVAS. THIS ONE WAS STILL DONE ON THE CANVAS, THAT'S WHERE THE IDEAS OF HAVING TECHNOLOGIC OBJECTS AS SURFACES STARTED TO MERGE. THE PIECES ARE SUPPOSED TO PROPOSE A REFLECTION ABOUT OUR ROUTINE AFTER THE DIGITAL REVOLUTION, THE LOOP OF SAYING GOODNIGHT TO THE INTERNET AND SAYING GOOD MORNING TO THE INTERNET, QUESTIONING THE AMOUNT OF LIFE CONTAINED IN OBJECTS THAT HOLD SO MUCH OF OURSELVES IF WE THINK FROM A POINT OF VIEW WHERE IF WE ARE ALL MADE OF ATOMS AND ALL IS ENERGY THESE OBJECTS THAT CARRIES OUR PICTURES, WRITTEN THOUGHTS, VIDEOS OF LIFE MOMENTS, THESE OBJECTS HAVE A LIFE OF ITSELF. THIS CANVAS WAS MADE WITH SOUND AND INTERNET CABLES AND ACRYLIC ON CANVAS.
