EN Tommaso Fiscaletti lives and works in Cape Town. When he was just 23, Fiscaletti staged his first solo exhibition at the Palazzo Gradari in Pesaro (2004). It was so successful that the administration of this city institution decided to devote another exhibition to him the following year: Sarajevo. His career was then consolidated by a series of solo shows hosted chiefly by galleries and contemporary art centres in Venice and Milan. Some of his works have also appeared at important fairs and events, including MIA Photo Fair in Milan and Arte Laguna at the Arsenale di Venice. His consecration as an artist came about in 2015 with Between Home and Wisdom, a major photographic project featured at two exhibitions in Cape Town: the first at Harrington House – the prestigious cultural hub devoted to design, fashion and international creativity – and the second at the Center of the Book. In 2016 he organized the exhibit Between Home and Wisdom at the Musuem Santa Maria della scala (Siena). Fiscaletti has won numerous awards, including the Diesel Wall in Toronto (2007), and he was one of the finalists in many photographic contest: in 2001 in Arte Laguna Prize, in 2010 in the Mondadori Art Prize and in 2009 in the Celeste Prize. Furthermore, his name was mentioned in specialized magazines such as Artribune e Espoarte. IT Tommaso Fiscaletti vive e lavora a Cape Town. Nel 2004, appena ventitreenne, realizza la sua prima mostra personale a Palazzo Gradari di Pesaro, il successo è tale che la stessa istituzione cittadina decide di dedicargli un’ulteriore mostra l’anno successivo: Sarajevo. In seguito, la sua carriera è consolidata da una serie di personali ospitate per lo più da gallerie e centri d’arte contemporanea di Venezia e Milano. Alcune sue opere compaiono anche in fiere e manifestazioni di rilievo, come il MIA Photo Fair di Milano e Arte Laguna all’Arsenale di Venezia. La consacrazione vera e propria avviene nel 2015 con Between Home and Wisdom, un progetto fotografico importante che è stato oggetto di ben due esposizioni a Cape Town: la prima all’Harrington House – prestigioso polo culturale dedicato al design, alla moda e alla creatività internazionale – e la seconda al Center of the Book. Nel 2016 espone Between Home and Wisdom al Museo Santa Maria della Scala (Siena).
